Worship services are held at both 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings.

Following is a list of amenities available during Sunday morning services:

Sunday School:  Christian education classes for children in preschool through senior high school take place in the Education Building and Faith Hall concurrent with the 9:00 a.m. worship service.  Those children who are three-years-old through sixth grade attend the first part of 9:00 a.m. worship with their families.  Following a brief “Children’s Moments” lesson during the service, these children will be dismissed to a classroom in the Education Building for child-focused activities and study.  Older students (grades 7-12) report directly to Faith Hall at 9:00 a.m.

Crib Room Care:  Infant care through two-years of age is available during the 9:00 a.m. service.  Infant care through three-years of age is available during the 10:30 a.m. service.  The Crib Room Nursery is located in the upper level of the Education Building on the south end.

Crib Room Pagers:  Receivers are available to parents when children are dropped off in the Crib Room Nursery.  The parent will be given a pager, which can be activated by the sitters in case of an emergency.

Children’s Activity Bags:  Special activity bags can be borrowed for young children who sit during worship with their families.  These small canvas bags include supplies for quiet activities such as puzzle games and coloring.  The bags are kept in a box at the rear of the sanctuary near the doors.

Coffee in the Atrium:  Coffee, tea, water and fellowship are available every Sunday between services in the Centennial Atrium.  Coffee in the Atrium is not available on Sundays when a Coffee Hour is scheduled between services.

Coffee Hour:  Pastries and coffee are available in Fellowship Hall between services on the third Sunday of every month.  Everyone is invited for fellowship and refreshments.

Library:  The St. John Library is located on the upper level of the Education Building at the north end.  It has Christian resource materials and a helpful staff.  The library is open Sunday mornings.

Disabled Parking:  Each of the parking lots has designed locations for disabled parking.  We ask that you display your disabled card when using these spots.  Clay Street (directly in front of the church) also has areas marked for disabled parking.

Automated Doors:  The double doors on the east side of the church are automated.  There is a red button outside and inside which can be pressed to activate the doors.  The doors are adjusted to stay open long enough to allow access in and out.

Handicapped-Accessible Water Fountains:  The drinking fountains in the west entry area and in the lower level Fellowship Hall are handicapped accessible.

Elevators:  The elevator at the west entrance leads only to Fellowship Hall, which is in the lower level directly below the sanctuary.  The elevator in the Centennial Atrium accesses ALL levels of the St. John facility.

Braille Signage:  Both elevators have Braille on the service panels.

Chair Lifts:  An automatic chair lift at the northwest double door entrance (facing Faith Hall) allows access to the upper level of the Education Building.  Another chair lift in the narthex provides access to the choir loft.

Magnifying Sheets:  Magnifying sheets are available for use in reading the Sunday bulletin and hymnal.  They are found on the narthex table in the front entrance of the church.

Bibles for Pew Use:  Bibles can be found in the narthex on a shelf beneath the visitors’ book podium just before entering the sanctuary.

Prayer Request Cards:  Beige prayer request cards are in the pews.  Prayers can be for anyone and all requests are confidential.

Blank Envelopes:  Blank envelopes for giving memorial gifts and other offerings can be found in the pews.  Completed envelopes can be placed in the offertory plate or dropped by the church office.

Taped Ministry:  For those unable to attend church, a recording of the service may be obtained by contacting the church office at 344-2526 during the week.  The church library keeps recordings of past services.
